Rainier Institute for Foreign Affairs is an undergraduate think tank at the University of Washington
We are the in-house think tank of the John Quincy Adams Society @ UW, creating a platform for undergraduate students to explore and engage in foreign affairs.
We aim to elevate the next generation of foreign policy leaders at UW. It is our mission to provide students with the opportunity to apply their academic expertise in foreign policy research. |
The Rainier Institute (RI) focuses on three areas of research: security & diplomacy, human rights & development, and business & economics. RI strives to produce policy that addresses for the most important issues in international relations today.
Our research areas offer a wide range of topics for students to explore. Each research area chooses one theme as the focus for the academic year, delving deep into the ongoing impacts and trends. Our leadership provides training and guidance to help students develop their areas specialties, connecting UW to the greater foreign policy discourse. |
