HONG KONG 2024 NATIONAL SECURITY LAW PANEL: INTERNATIONAL & DOMESTIC IMPLICATIONS​

The Rainier Institute hosted a five-member panel which led a lively discussion about the Hong Kong Nation Security Ordinance, it's implications for PRC domestic policy, and the South China Sea geopolitical competition.

NBR–Sejong Institute U.S.–ROK Joint Seminar

Rainier Institute representatives were invited to a closed door seminar hosted by NBR and the Sejong Institute. The seminar focused on how the growing security and diplomatic ties between the U.S. and South Korea is impacting East-Asia's political landscape.

Discussion on 'Global Trade Policy: Past Present and Future' with Prof Badri

Prof Badri provided his insights into the trends of global trade. His discussion also focused on India's economic policies based on his experiences as a fellow at India's Apex public policy institute NITI Aayong.

Daniel Chang Career Talk

Daniel Cheng, a former Peace Corp Operational Director in Ukraine and current CISA Administrative officer gave an insightful career talk for Rainier Institute members. He discussed the challenges he faced serving overseas in crisis areas and gave advice for those interested in pursuing a career in the federal government.

NBR Security Forum

Rainier Institute representatives participated in NBR's inaugural Pacific Security Forum in Seattle. Top experts from government, academia, and the private sector addressed issues of strategic and security importance to U.S. interests in Asia.
