Lieutenant General Matthew McFarlane
Lieutenant General Matthew W. McFarlane currently serves as the Commader of U.S. Army I Corps at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, since October 2024. Commissioned as an infantry officer in 1992 through the ROTC program at James Madison University, he has held key leadership roles, most notably, commanding the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq from 2022 to 2023.
He has also served as a Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Pacific and also as the Senior Military Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense. |
